Alt-Text 

Canto now includes a native alt-text field for image assets. 

Users can add descriptive alternative text directly in the DAM, giving teams a consistent place to store and manage accessibility descriptions alongside the asset itself — so content stays accessible wherever it's published.

Canto Administrators can mark the field as required in upload workflows and Upload Links, ensuring descriptions are captured before assets are distributed. Alt-text also renders as the HTML alt attribute on assets embedded in Portals and Share Links, and is accessible via the Canto API.
