Direct Capture

Direct Capture is now available for Canto DAM. This feature is designed to streamline the image submission process for photographers and external partners. With Direct Capture, images can now be sent directly from cameras or capture tools into Canto using secure file transfer protocols (SFTP and FTPS), eliminating the need for a Canto account.

Key Benefits:

• Faster Asset Availability: By allowing images to be delivered straight from the field, Direct Capture significantly reduces the delays associated with traditional upload methods.
• Simplified Workflows: External partners, such as photographers and agencies, can continue using their familiar workflows without needing to navigate the Canto interface.
• Seamless Integration: Canto Administrators can activate Direct Capture for specific albums, generating secure upload credentials for external contributors. Uploaded files are automatically ingested into the designated album, maintaining the tenant's default approval status and preserving all embedded metadata.
